About the Role
The role of a warehouse assistant is to help in daily warehousing activities as allocated by the Supply Chain and Logistics Associate. These roles range from, stock issuance, transfers, offloading and reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities
Stock Loading- ensure products in the warehouse are properly arranged to ease issuance and ensure transparency.
Receive/ inspect and verify the accuracy of incoming shipments and any goods received at the warehouse.
Ensure all dispatches are as indicated on the invoices with no excess or less stock issued, and ensure the best packaging practice is followed when packaging the products.
Ensure all products set out for dispatch are also reconciled in the system.
Perform regular monthly inventory counts to arrest any variances and ensure the system is aligned with physical.
Assembly of products and ensuring replenishment of dispatched products with assembled products using the FIFA model arrangement.
Ensure all products undergo quality check before final packaging and dispatch to customers.
Take part in offloading whenever required, receive products against delivery notes, report any excess, less or damaged delivered to the reporting manager.
Help in data entry whenever required and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Qualifications:
Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, along with 1-5 years of experience in inventory management, warehousing, or manufacturing with labor intensive workload;
High energy level, physically fit and detail oriented;
High degree of flexibility and comfortable with ambiguity;
Have the ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines;
Be organized and be an expert in time management;
Thrive in resources constrained environments;
High integrity values with discretion in using budgetary allocation for the department; and
A proven record of ability to achieve through others.
