About the Role
As a Tech Operations Associate, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the seamless operation of our technology platforms. The role involves overseeing and resolving technical issues across our web and mobile applications, ensuring swift resolution within designated SLAs. Your cybersecurity responsibilities will include triaging security alerts, performing basic log analysis to identify potential threats, assisting with user access management and reviews, and supporting security awareness initiatives. You will also design and implement systems for tracking and monitoring, escalate more complex technical and security issues to specialized teams, and report on key operational metrics.
Issue Resolution:
Monitor and maintain the performance of SunCulture's web, Android, and customer-facing applications.
Quickly identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Adhere to established SLAs for issue resolution, ensuring timely and effective communication with stakeholders.
Cybersecurity & Incident Response:
Monitor for suspicious activities and security alerts across systems.
Assist in the initial triage and response to security incidents, escalating to specialized cybersecurity teams as needed.
Perform basic log analysis to identify potential security threats or anomalies.
Support user access management reviews and contribute to the enforcement of security best practices.

Escalation and Collaboration:
Recognize when to escalate more complex or recurring technical and security issues to engineering, training, or specialized cybersecurity teams.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate the resolution of issues and improve system reliability and security posture.
System Tracking and Integration:
Develop and implement tracking mechanisms to monitor system performance, technical issues, and security events.
Ensure tracking systems are effectively integrated with other operational and security tools and platforms.
Reporting and Analysis:
Compile and analyze data on system performance, identifying trends in recurring technical issues and security incidents.
Report regularly on key operational and security KPIs, providing insights into areas requiring attention or improvement.
Continuous Improvement:
Proactively suggest enhancements to existing processes and systems to improve operational efficiency and bolster security.
Stay informed about the latest technology trends, cybersecurity best practices, and emerging threats to drive innovation within the team.
Develop and deliver training sessions to enhance the team's cybersecurity awareness and operational security practices.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Foundational understanding of cybersecurity principles, common vulnerabilities, and basic security controls.
Experience in tech operations or a similar role, with a strong understanding of web and mobile application support.
Proficiency with monitoring, incident management, and basic security tooling.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical and security issues.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical and security information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Prior internship or coursework focused on cybersecurity.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Familiarity with automation scripting or programming languages.
Knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks.
Experience with IoT device monitoring and management.
Strong plus Relevant security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CISA/CISSP/CISM,CEH or equivalent)
